Events engine Basic notions Events engine The events engine (also known as Event) provides the basis for all automated communication in DDS Shipper. It is used to set up automatic actions especially when identifying exceptions in a process (e.g.: no input at set time, incident code, status code…). Firstly, a user trained in query configuration defines events search and the actions to be launched consecutively. Secondly, Event scrutinizes the events with fixed frequency (Launched manually or with a task scheduler) and automatically performs the actions that have been decided: Writing to log file. Launching of executable. Execution of SQL order. Sending of an e-mail with or without a generated document attached. Back Office / Tracking & Tracing / Alert / Event.
